Does it fix or not fix Wi-Fi issues? Who knows, but for the complete lack of information across media, let's summarize what we do know:
- This is already the second version of the golden master (GM), which is u Apple products a relatively unprecedented step. We know that the first GM version slightly changed the Multitasking Bar on the iPad and expanded the ability to connect to your MobileMe account on the iPhone.
- There is no complete information yet on the content of the changes in the second version. According to some foreign portals, only minor problems have been fixed and everything is now fine and functional. In contrast to this information, there are other servers that report that the Wi-Fi connection problem on some iPads has been fixed. But this problem was certainly not minor, it was a serious defect, causing partial non-functionality of one of the basic components of the portable device. So once we find out what the new GM version is really like, we'll update this article.
So we can only hope that this version will truly be the golden master and final one. iOS 4.2.1 will be released next week.
On my iPad, I noticed a noticeable speedup with 4.2.1 compared to 4.2. Loading settings or other functions (AppSrore) seems much more appealing to me. That's my first impression.

With 4.2.1GM I confirm the subjective feeling of greater speed on the iPad. Especially in PressReader – although today there was an update of this program, so it is probably a combination of both. Printing works as usual – in addition I discovered theonepossibility of printing from PDF page range – see photo:

V AirPlay on Apple TV 2G is also the same as before – only audio works. We will probably see video after the ATV firmware update.
It did not work on iPad version 4.2GM in Google Maps Street View from a placed pin on the corresponding background in CZ (the icon was grayed out). Now in 4.2.1GM it works as it should here too.
